Built for Horses

Designed for the Life They Deserve

A Different Kind of Atmosphere

Active or retired, every horse benefits from a place where they can exhale

Close Ranch may offer a quieter atmosphere, but that doesn’t mean every horse here is retired. Our equestrian amenities welcome owners who still ride, train, and compete, while providing a calm, comfortable home base when the work is done.

Room to Live Like a Horse

For senior and retired horses, a predictable environment supports the slower pace and comfortable routine they deserve. For the active competition horse, that same peaceful setting offers a place to rest, recharge, and simply be a horse between training sessions, shows, and travel.

With a lighted sand arena, 65-foot round pen, obstacle course, concrete double wash rack, tack storage, trailer parking, and flexible housing and turnout options, you can continue pursuing the things you love with your horse—without bringing the pressure of a busy training barn home with you.

Set Apart

Every horse, every time, every day

Because when a horse is entrusted to our care, their comfort, safety, and well-being are the priority

Onsite Owner/Operators

With Chad and Lindsey living onsite, Close Ranch isn’t simply where they care for your horse—it’s their home, too, bringing the reassurance of knowledgeable eyes nearby and owners who are personally invested in every horse, every detail, and every day.

Nutrition with Purpose

Great care starts with what goes in the feed bucket. Leaning into Lindsey’s experience as an Equine Nutrition Advisor, Close Ranch pairs quality forage with trusted Elk Grove Milling feeds, bringing knowledge and intention to one of the most important parts of your horse’s daily care.

Little Things Aren't Little

At Close Ranch, putting the horse first isn’t something we save for the big decisions—it’s part of every day. It’s noticing the water bucket that needs scrubbing, the horse who didn’t quite finish breakfast, the change in a familiar routine, or the small detail that simply doesn’t feel right.
